We bring your ideas, practical needs and material choices together, then make the cabinetry in our Yorkshire workshop. These are the decisions that shape a JS DECO plywood kitchen.
Your room, your proportions
We make bespoke plywood cabinetry in our own workshop, without relying on a fixed catalogue of cabinet sizes. Widths, heights and drawer arrangements are tailored to your room and appliances, making better use of the available space and organising storage around how you use your kitchen.
Depending on the design, proportions can include 790 mm base carcasses, 100 mm plinths and wall cabinets up to 1300 mm. We resolve the specification for each project.
Grain and detail, considered together
We plan sheet selection and cutting sequences for grain-matched plywood or veneer doors, so natural grain can continue across neighbouring fronts and drawers.
Grain, exposed plywood edges and surrounding finishes are considered together, creating a coherent composition across the kitchen.
Precision guided by experience
CNC machining brings accuracy; our cabinetmakers refine the edges, junctions and alignment by hand.
Construction includes 18 mm birch plywood, with water-based lacquer on lacquered surfaces. Board grade, finish and edge protection are specified together for everyday use.
Your ideas, developed with our team
We develop your ideas with you, combining practical advice with our workshop experience to balance appearance, function and budget. Comparing real samples makes colour, texture and material combinations easier to judge.
Options include natural veneers, FENIX, Egger and Formica laminates, and dyed or lacquered plywood—all developed around your design.

Jacek founded JS DECO in 2008, growing it from an independent workshop into a specialist bespoke furniture manufacturer. With more than 30 years of furniture and cabinetmaking experience, he leads the business, its design standards and the development of each bespoke cabinetry project.
Those standards are carried through by an experienced team of specialist cabinetmakers.

Every route retains the birch plywood cabinet core. Visible surfaces and detailing determine the final character, performance and specification.
Most cost-effective finish route
Natural lacquered birch
Exposed birch plywood protected with a clear water-based lacquer. It celebrates the grain and layered edges while keeping the material specification direct and honest.
Premium natural finish
Natural wood veneer
Oak, walnut or cherry veneer adds the warmth and visual depth of natural timber while retaining a stable, precision-made birch plywood structure.
Durable colour and texture
FENIX and laminate
Ultra-matt FENIX NTM, Egger and Formica surfaces add colour, tactile finishes and strong resistance to fingerprints and everyday wear.
Premium architectural finish
Ceramic-clad plywood
Precision-cut architectural porcelain creates a refined stone-like surface with excellent resistance to heat, scratches and moisture.
Premium timber specification
Solid oak elements
Solid oak doors or selected details add strong architectural timber character while the principal cabinet structure remains birch plywood.
