The scope
The cabinets are not solid Corian throughout. Internal finishes, hardware and cladding coverage form part of the agreed specification.
Corian has been used in interior and furniture design for over 50 years and remains one of the most recognisable solid surface materials available. It is non porous, low in VOC content, hygienic and resistant to staining, which makes it particularly suitable for kitchen environments where surfaces are used intensively every day.
Within our projects, Corian is most effective when considered as part of the overall kitchen design rather than as an isolated product. It can be used to create Corian-clad furniture fronts, worktops with discreet joints, integrated sinks, splashbacks and selected cladding elements that work together with the furniture as one coherent composition. What Corian can do in a full kitchen project
When used within a complete bespoke kitchen, Corian offers much more than a finished top surface. It can help create a cleaner and more resolved overall result by allowing several visible elements to work together as one integrated material system.

“If you think that bespoke cabinets are out of reach then think again! After an 11-year wait we finally remade our kitchen. Our original plan was to purchase standardised pre-made cabinets.
However, we discovered that for not that much more money we could design EXACTLY what we wanted. We selected JS DECO LTD, master premium bespoke furniture carpenters. Jacek and his team worked closely with us to bring the kitchen design to life, ensuring that we, the architect and the building team were aware of all possible options and giving us practical advice about what might work best.

What is Corian made of?
Corian is an inert and non toxic solid surfacing material made of approximately one third acrylic resin and around two thirds natural minerals. This combination gives it very useful practical properties, especially in kitchens where long term hygiene, cleanability and renewability are important.
One of its strongest advantages is its flexibility in fabrication. Compared with many other worktop materials, Corian offers broader shaping possibilities, cleaner jointing and the option of more integrated forms. Corian worktop care, heat and scratches

We use Corian within complete kitchen installations
To maintain control over quality, fit and final detailing, we plan Corian fabrication and installation as an integrated part of our fitted furniture projects.
