What is EcoBoard?

ECOBoard International describes its panels as made from agricultural fibre residues such as straw, bonded with an MDI resin with no added formaldehyde. These manufacturer statements concern the board product, not a JS DECO finished furniture certification.

Material Reference

This archive introduces the material; it is not a current JS DECO product specification or offer.

Environmental Information

Environmental claims require the relevant product evidence and lifecycle context. This page does not establish zero emissions, complete biodegradability or a lower impact for finished JS DECO furniture.

Technical Specification

Strength, moisture and fire performance must be checked against the manufacturer’s current documentation for the specific board grade and intended application.

Manufacturing Status

EcoBoard is not part of JS DECO’s current furniture offer. This archive should not be read as evidence that EcoBoard furniture is currently manufactured in our Wakefield workshop.

Quality Control

No current JS DECO EcoBoard product specification or quality-control claim is made on this page.

Design Possibilities and Finishes

The manufacturer describes finishing possibilities such as paint, wood veneer and laminate. The examples below are general material options and are not a current JS DECO EcoBoard collection.

Painted finishes, subject to the board and coating specification
High-quality wood veneers for a natural look
Durable laminates in various textures and patterns
Contemporary matt or gloss finishes

Compatibility of the selected board, adhesive and finish must be checked for the intended use.

Looking to the Future
