This bespoke birch plywood fitted wardrobe was designed, manufactured and installed as a fully made-to-measure storage solution tailored precisely to the room dimensions. The client required a clean, durable and space-efficient system that would integrate seamlessly with the existing architecture while maximising usable internal volume.

The wardrobe measures approximately 2.5 m by 3.5 m with a ceiling height of 2.25 m. All components were built from high-grade 18 mm birch plywood, finished with a natural water-based lacquer to protect the surface while maintaining the visible grain structure. Every section, including internal shelving, drawer units and full-height slab doors, was manufactured from scratch rather than adapted from fixed module sizes. The layout maximises every centimetre of the room by combining full height storage, deep compartments and a continuous worktop under the window. This keeps the visual lines clean while giving the client additional usable surface without taking space from the room.

The interior includes six soft close drawers and adjustable shelving, configured around the client’s daily habits. Each component is positioned for comfort and ease of use, creating a practical wardrobe that remains simple, robust and enjoyable to use.

The wardrobe is crafted from high quality birch plywood chosen for its structural stability, long lifespan and timeless appearance. Its fine grain allows for visually consistent surfaces, giving the furniture a clean and modern feel.

A satin water based lacquer brings out the natural colour of the wood while offering strong resistance to moisture and day to day wear. This finish keeps the wardrobe looking refined and ensures it remains easy to maintain for years.

To ensure long term reliability, the wardrobe is fitted with BLUM push to open hinges and drawer runners. These components are known for their smooth, effortless motion and high quality construction.
